Expand Medicaid & Healthcare

Every Texan has a right to healthcare.

Yet Texas is last place in healthcare coverage, and Dallas has the 2nd highest uninsured rate of any large city.

During a global pandemic, five million Texans don’t have healthcare. Unfortunately, politicians in Austin would rather play political games than simply expand Medicaid, a move that is 95% funded by the federal government and would provide healthcare to over a million more Texans — a big first step toward making sure every Texan has healthcare.

Depriving millions of Texans healthcare we already pay for or restricting reproductive rights just to play political games is the definition of putting politics over people, and it’s time for it to end.
